Legless Productions is the brainchild of Brian Langtry and Ron Burns who first met some 25 years ago at the Dudley Poetry Centre. The event was a monthly gathering under the auspices of the late and wonderfully talented Jim William Jones. Tragically Ron passed away in 1998 leaving behind him a wealth and breadth of material, songs, poems and plays. Ron was a poet and humorist building up a significant following in the Black Country area and the West Midlands generally. He published a series of books and appeared on TV and Radio. He is sadly missed by all those his wonderful life touched.

Ron tragically died whilst in the middle of writing a comedy, " Second Spot ", about a comedian who dies unexpectedly whilst in the middle of his act subsequently returning to earth to deal with unfinished business and creates mayhem in the lives of those he left behind. Ron always worked from 10pm until 3 or 4 in the morning. He always rang Brian before he started work to talk about progress and writing plans; since his death BT now seem to ring at about the same time to check Brian`s phone......is Ron keeping in touch?

Brian Langtry formed the much loved Black Country group " Giggety " in 1970 and the band went on to produce 9 albums and a series of singles as well as writing material for TV and Radio documentaries. Shows such as Saturday Superstore, Opportunity Knocks, Midlands To-Day, Pebble Mill, Central and ATV To-Day, Children In Need, Tiswas and many one-off specials all featured the songs and music of Brian and "Giggety". Brian now lives in Ashby De La Zouch where he continues to write alongside the running of a small recording studio. Brian recently wrote the stage production of "Over The Rainbow- The Story of Eva Cassidy" which has very successfully toured England and European venues. He has himself toured as lead in the " Hello I`m Johnny Cash" stage show, a production which predated the current upsurge of interest in the " Man In Black ". Brian has written , or been involved in writing, a significant amout of the material on this site.

Brian has recently been joined at Legless Productions by an old friend, John Oakes.

John now has responsibility for some promotional work, including the updating and presentation of this web site. John has assisted with productions, especially in relation to music and lighting. His latest involvement was with the production of " Hello I`m Johnny Cash".

John is also the oldest `roadie` in the business.
